(although he's mislaid his horse just now)

(of joy, I'm sure, rather than pain)

Social outcats

(they didn't talk much, but it was a bit like belonging to a club - even if it did get cold out there sometimes)

Border Collies are known for their teamwork

(especially when pinching apples - a well-kept secret pastime of theirs...)

Nothing beat jumping in leaves

(although jumping on one at a time on the pavement for that crispycrunch sound was pretty good, too)

She was ready for bed in her favorite jim jams

(and so was her bear)

He wanted to be a cat when he grew up

She was a stickler for table manners

"Table manners maketh dog," she would say, being particular about such matters - especially with Elizabeth coming for tea to celebrate her birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELIZABETH!!!

They were ready - (they'd been practising for ages, even though they still had weeks and weeks to go)
