  2. Hi Monty and Rosie,

Hope this finds you in fine fettle.

Would you be able to lend a helping paw?

I've entered Susan in a contest on Greeting Card Universe and it features the Border Collie, of course!

It's when it was a Starry Starry Night under the beautiful sky.

Out of all the cards on GCU we could choose one as our favourite and this is mine.

There's an opportunity to vote for this card from now until the 7th of February so I hope you'll herd up all your friends so they can vote too!

Could you please give her a paw in the right direction with this blog post for the details:

  3. Thank you! Yes, it's fascinating - I had no idea about the whole sub-sci-fi-genre thing involving Victorian or Wild West technology.

  8. Hiya Kjelle Bus! According to Wikipedia: "Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s. Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually Victorian era Britain or "Wild West"-era United States—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy."

Which is why you often see cogs and gears and metallic images in 'steampunk' pics.

There you go. That's as much as I know now, too!
